This movie was released when I was 2 years old, so I probably came into contact with it and watched it for the first time when I was 6 or 7 years old. The first time I watched it I was kind of terrified, to be honest, because I was so young. But as I got older and watched it again and again, I began to really enjoy it. The creativity that went into the characters, because they were definitely anything but normal. I mean, Tim Burton was the creator. Of course it’s going to be twisted, yet creative, musical and entertaining all at the same time. I present to you, just a few tattoos inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
We’re All Mad Here
That classic quote by the Cheshire Cat reminding us that nobody is completely sane. We’re all some form of mad, one way or another. As life should be; if it weren’t for surprises and unfortunate circumstances, our lives would be boring, predictable and meaning-less. But when unforeseen things come up, we have to learn to cope, adapt, or overcome. And that’s what pushes us to work harder than before, challenge ourselves, and step up to the plate.
In respect to the amazing Literary works of Lewis Carroll and the Directorial skills of Walt Disney, Alice came alive for the first time in 1951. A few decades later, she was back on the big screen in 2010, remodelled in the styles of Tim Burton. Millions of Humans fell back in love with the amazing tale of Alice falling down the rabbit hole, yet not many knew of the sequel to Lewis Carroll’s original; Through The Looking Glass. Now that the sequel is upon us to grace it’s presence on the big screen, I feel it appropriate to delight you all with some body art inspired by the one, the only, Alice in Wonderland. And her crazy friends too.
Being a 90’s kid means I grew up watching TV shows like Animaniacs, Dexters Lab and of course, Sailor Moon. What 90’s child that was female didn’t enjoy watching a group of cheerleaders basically save the world with the help of Tuxedo Mask? Anyway, enough of my rambling. Here’s some Sailor Moon inspired tattoos.
I’ve been pretty obsessed with Harry Potter lately, I have been since it was released on film. I didn’t even know it was first released as books by J.K. Rowling long before the movies came out. Now, becauze I’m also obsessed with Tattoos, I decided to make a post dedicated to Harry Potter inspired tattoos. I hope you enjoy. ☺
For years I have been ignored, pushed aside and made to feel unimportant. For years I’ve been living in the shadows of my peers, wishing to be like them, to be noticed. Hence I’ve dyed my hair, changed my clothing style, changed my personality, almost everything about me just to attempt to make some headway. But nothing has changed. I’m a very outspoken girl, yet noone listens. I have dreams and aspirations, yet they seem like dumb ideas to most. When you’ve been placed on the back burner too many times you start to believe that your dreams and goals don’t matter. You start to believe that noone cares about how you lead your life, how you act around others, because they’re not watching, listening or paying attention to you anyway, so what does it matter?
I’ve decided to take on a new project; creating ‘Soleless Sandals’ in my spare time. It’s a little side adventure I’ve began dabbling in courtesy of my Sister Elizabeth. The idea came when she asked my Nana and I to create some of these Sandal things for her up-coming destination wedding in Jamaica. They’ve turned out to be pretty simple to create, and in creating these I get a few hours each day where I can truly focus on something and ignore the ugliness in the world around me. Plus, if in the future after I’ve finished a few different kinds I wonder if I’ll actually end up selling them to anyone or not. I guess I’ll have to wait and see.
Photographs were not taken by me, nor are they owned by me in any way. I found them using Google.com Any photos taken by me will be showcased on my Photography page.
